Straight answers to the questions prospects actually ask. If yours isn't here, ask us.
Not at all. Some businesses come to us with established systems. Others are still working with paperwork, spreadsheets or a mixture of different tools. We can help you work out what you need and introduce the right solutions, with installation and training.
Yes. We work with businesses that want to improve how they operate, whether they're starting to introduce software or already managing more complicated processes. The important thing is finding an approach appropriate for the size and needs of your business.
No. We build around the tools you already use. If your existing systems can do the job, we use them. If something new would genuinely pay back, we'll say so and show you why, and we take no commissions or referral fees from any vendor.
The first 30-minute call is free. The optional Business Review is a fixed £1,250 + VAT, paid on booking. Builds are fixed-price, from £3,500 + VAT, quoted after scoping. A website or a small piece of work can cost less. Standalone websites of up to 5 pages are £1,000 + VAT. Nothing starts until you've agreed the scope, exclusions, price, VAT and payment stages in writing. Hosting, domains, software subscriptions and provider licence or usage fees are yours and explained up front; optional care is separate. Scope changes are quoted separately and approved first.
No. Our initial conversation is free. For straightforward work, we may recommend a solution and provide a quotation without a formal review. For more complicated requirements, our optional Business Review takes a high-level look across your business, examines the highest-priority opportunity more closely and gives you written recommendations. The review includes one day on site with the owner, the rest by video, and about an hour with each of up to 5 key people. You receive the written report within 10 working days of the kickoff call, followed by a 45-minute walkthrough. We agree the scope, output and time frame before you book. It is £1,250 + VAT, paid on booking. You own the report, with no obligation to go ahead. If you accept the build proposal within 30 days of receiving your review report, the full £1,250 comes off its price, shown as a line on the proposal.
It's a good place to start, and we'd never talk you out of it. Go Digital gives you an adviser's report and action plan. Our Business Review maps where time and money go and where only one person knows how things work, ranks worthwhile improvements, then looks more closely at the highest-priority area. It ends in written recommendations. Documenting the business in full and building the fixes you choose are separate work, quoted and agreed first. If you accept the build proposal within 30 days of receiving your review report, the full £1,250 comes off its price.
Compare the scope and what you receive, rather than the name alone. Our Business Review is a fixed £1,250 + VAT: a high-level look at the business, a closer look at the highest-priority opportunity and written recommendations ranked by potential benefit. We agree the time frame, access and your team's time before you book. You own the report and no build or retainer is required. If you accept the build proposal within 30 days of receiving your review report, the full £1,250 comes off its price. If a smaller review suits you better, we'll say so.
Yes. A standalone website of up to 5 pages is a fixed £1,000 + VAT, including an enquiry form. It is hosted in your own name, so you own it. You supply the words and we tidy them up. No Business Review is needed first. Pay 50% when the proposal is accepted and 50% when it is finished. The site goes live once the second payment is made. Hosting and domain costs are yours and stated up front. Online shops, big redesigns, SEO or ad campaigns, and writing all the copy from scratch aren't included. We can connect the website to a build later, quoted separately.
Our £1,000 + VAT price covers a simple site of up to 5 pages, including an enquiry form. It is hosted in your own name, so you own it. You supply the words and we tidy them up. Hosting and domain costs are separate and stated up front. It can be connected to a build later, quoted separately. Compare what each quote includes, whose name the domain and hosting are in, and whether there is a monthly fee. If the other quote suits you better, we'll say so.
Yes, as an optional add-on to the build, not on its own. We set it up on a business account in your name, connected to the way your business runs: an assistant your staff can ask how things are done, using the processes we've written down; a drafting assistant for quotes, proposals, letters and replies, in your style; or replies to new enquiries drafted the moment they arrive. It drafts and a person checks and sends everything. We make sure your information isn't used to train AI models, and we run a one-hour session for your staff. It's £1,250 + VAT for up to two of these, £500 + VAT for each one after that. The account's own subscription is yours to pay, usually around £20 to £25 per person a month.
You could try, and AI makes it easier than it used to be. The hard part was never typing the instructions. It's knowing which jobs are worth automating, connecting them safely to your accounts, payroll and other systems, testing them on your real work, and keeping them running when one of your tools changes. Get invoices or wages wrong and it costs money and trust. That's what you're paying for: twelve years of doing exactly this for banks, insurers and pharmaceutical groups, a fixed price agreed in writing, nothing live until it's proven on your real work, anything not working as agreed fixed free for 30 days, and everything documented so it's yours. And your time stays on your customers, not on learning to build systems. If the return doesn't justify the cost, we'll tell you.
No retainer is required. For 30 days after handover, anything that doesn't work as agreed is fixed free. You can run it yourselves, because it's tested and documented, or choose the optional care plan at £300 + VAT a month. Cancel with 30 days' notice; everything stays yours. For the systems we agree to support, we keep what we built running, including when a connected tool changes. You get a one-page monthly report of what ran, time saved where measurable and anything fixed, a reply within 1 working day, small agreed changes up to 2 hours a month and a 30-minute quarterly review. Larger changes and new features are quoted separately and approved first. Provider subscriptions, licence or usage fees, hosting and other third-party charges are excluded unless agreed otherwise in writing. We agree exact coverage and exclusions before you choose the plan.
You don't have to. The solution should work as agreed when it's handed over, and you can choose to run it without an ongoing Frankly Consulting support plan. Some businesses prefer us to handle periodic checks, respond to problems and make minor changes as their needs or connected services evolve. That's what optional support is for, not to make a poorly built system usable. The project includes testing, documentation, handover and 30 days of free fixes after handover. If anything we built doesn't work as agreed during those 30 days, we'll fix it free. New requests aren't covered. You're not paying a retainer for us to correct our own mistakes. Future external changes, new features and third-party running costs are separate from putting right work that doesn't operate as agreed.
No. We make the business easier to run and easier to hand over: the work written down, the busywork automated, less resting on you. We don't value businesses or advise on a sale, and we don't promise it changes the price. For that, take advice from your accountant, a broker or a solicitor.
The first call is free, with a written recommendation within one working day. We can recommend a direct quotation, an optional Business Review or a simple solution you can use without us. The Business Review costs £1,250 + VAT, paid on booking; it explains opportunities and potential benefits before you decide on a build. Any further work gets a scope and fixed price in writing first. If the potential benefit doesn't justify the cost, we'll tell you. We don't guarantee a financial return.
No. Consulting can help smaller businesses and established organisations alike. We match the work to your needs, whether you use paper, spreadsheets or complex systems. Frankly Flow suits owner-run businesses of one to ten people. If you're unsure where to start, tell us about your business and we'll say honestly whether consulting, Frankly Flow or neither is the right fit.
Frankly Consulting works remotely with businesses across the UK. We're based in Norfolk and can arrange face-to-face meetings locally where helpful.
Ask it. If it's one other people will have too, it ends up on this page.
